My College Life – Erican College
Hi guys. Today I would like to write down my last article for my Information Technology Application assignment. The title of this article will be my recent college, which is Erican College. This title is set by my lecturer of my Information Technology Application, Mr. Thanesh Doraisamy.

Erican College is a member of the Erican Education Group, an award-winning comprehensive education provider. Since its establishment in 1990, Erican Education Group has helped more than 200000 students to obtain tertiary qualifications, language or life skills. Today, Erican College offers a comprehensive array of tertiary programs to meet the demands of the modern competitive business world. Their programs produce graduates who are well-equipped with the necessary skills to make them desirable and essential by the employers of their respective industries. The founder of this college is Datuk Eric Chong, who is the President of Branding Association of Malaysia.
Erican college was located in the middle of our capital city, Kuala Lumpur. The distance between Erican College and KLCC is only 5 minutes by walking. But the hostel of my college was located in Wangsa Maju area. So, every morning I need to wake up early for taking LRT from Wangsa Maju LRT Station to KLCC LRT Station.
I was a May 2017 intake student. My course is Diploma in Business Administration (DBA). My course is the biggest bunch of students in my college with about 60 students in a class. The reason why I have chosen this college is that I want to study Diploma in Business Administration in this college although it is famous for their Diploma in Graphic Design and Diploma in Interior Design. Erican college not only famous for their Diploma in Graphic Design and Diploma in Interior Design but also their success forum.
Almost every month, there will have a success icon to have a success forum for us. The success icons such as Dato Lewre and Mr. Bryan Loo will talk about their ways to success and how to be a successful entrepreneur. I felt very lucky as I entered this college to learn some different things than other colleges.

Besides, Erican College also has organized some meaningful camp for us, such as GBL Camp. This GBL Camp was organized by our founder and his wife, Datuk Eric Chong and Datin Lee, that we called them as ‘papa’ and ‘mama’. This is because they want us to take this college as our second home. It makes me feel warm as my home is far away from this college. This GBL Camp was taken 2 days’ time for some of the students. I was in Batch 9 in this camp. My camp was on 1st and 2nd of July, 2017. Before I have been forced to take part in this GBL Camp, I mostly disliked taking part in a camp, because I dislike to sweat a lot and playing games with running, jumping, climbing and so on. After I took part in this GBL Camp, I was no regret about it as I knew a lot of ‘Ericanites’ from different course in this camp. There are many games in this camp that lead we to learn many different things such as trust, teamwork, leadership and many more. Besides, I also learned a lot of things in this camp that given by papa. As I know, papa is a busy entrepreneur, so I really appreciate him as he snatched 2 days’ time for us to teach us many meaningful things. This GBL Camp was an unforgettable and memorable camp for me.

Other than that, after GBL Camp Batch 9 had finished, I request for the working committee for the Batch 10 and Batch 11 of GBL Camp. That was a different thing for me again. I was enjoyed in being a working committee of a camp although it was tiring.

SPM Workshop, organized for SPM students. I have been a working committee on SPM Workshop 3. I was very happy although I need to wake up early to go to college and lead the SPM students to college. When I saw that they were preparing for the SPM examination, I think back to my SPM period. It was stressed and tired. Luckily, this SPM Workshop got party time for them, so they can release their stress in this workshop.


There is a very interesting event that organized by the Erican Ambassador, which is Hunt for Fun. This event is the first event that organized by Erican Ambassador. The area of this event was in the KL area. On 4th of November, 2017, I took part in this event with my friends. There are 4 of us in a group including me and there are 10 groups in this event. My group was the tenth group. My group name was ‘Who Care??’ This event requires us to think and cooperate with our group member. At the last, my group had won the second prizes.

Moreover, I had known a lot of friends in this college. Not even in my course, but also from other courses. Although we all come from different states, but we treat everyone as our family. We help each other, we play together, we learn together. We will go out together whenever we have time. As my previous blog had mentioned that we go Kuala Selangor when our midterm break and we are going to have a trip to Johor when our semester break for semester 2. I really like this bunch of friends that I knew in Erican College. They make me happy and they make me felt warm whenever I need help.
I am no regret about my decision to study in Erican College although it was far away from my house. With almost 6 months in this college, I have learned a lot of things that I have not learn before. I very cherish that I can study in this college in my lifetime. I hope that I can make a lot of memories in the remaining 4 semesters.

First Semester of My College Life with My Roommate I woke up in the morning with full of excitement as it was the day that I had waited for my whole life. It was the 30 th  of May 2017. My parents brought me to my college all the way from Johor because it was the first day of my college life. My college was located in the middle of our capital city, Kuala Lumpur.
