A Trip to Kuala Selangor


                My friends, who I know in my recent college have planned a trip to Kuala Selangor in our mid-term break. There are 9 people of us including me. The reasons why we choose to go Kuala Selangor was there are many tourist attraction places at there and one of us is lives in Kuala Selangor since she was born. The day before we start our trip, we came back from our hometown and buying some steamboat ingredient for having a steamboat in our hostel at night. All of us are over the moon as we talked about the trip we have planned.


                The next day, we woke up early than we have planned before as we are looking forward to our trip to Kuala Selangor. We are very excited that day and we went to Kuala Selangor by two cars. The first destination that we went was the house of the girl that I mentioned just now. Her father treats us like his son and daughter and his hobby is planting, so his house got two coconut trees. Her father picked a few of coconuts for us as the day was very hot. After that, we say goodbye to uncle and we went to the second destination. we went to a very beautiful pond which many valentines like to go there for taking photos. So, the native at there names it as ‘lovely pond’. Next, we went to Sekinchan. The motive we went there was to enjoy the lovely sea scenery. The weather was very hot but the sea breeze blew us cool. There was a wishing tree that hanging a lot of people’s wishes. All of us also wrote down our wishes on a red ribbon and we threw that to the tree.



                The second day of our trip, we went to eat ‘bah ku teh’ as our breakfast which is famous at there. After that, we drove around the town to witness some of the murals drew by some of the famous artists. Then, we want to visit Bukit Malawati but due to it was the first day of Deepavali lead to a very terrible traffic jam. So we change to another place which was the biggest Karaoke at Kuala Selangor. We sang a lot of song about friendship. One of us in charge of choosing the song. One of us doesn’t like to sing. Other of us singing together. Next, we had our lunch at Pasir Penambang, we ate laksa at there as it was the most recommended food at there. After we finished our lunch, we went to another beach, Pantai Remis. We played bubbles at there and took a lot of photos. We also bought some souvenirs at there.




                After that, we went to Bukit Malawati for enjoying the sunset and there was a lot of monkeys. We also visited the museum at Bukit Malawati. Inside of the museum got many historical artifacts and there also got some introduction about Kuala Selangor. Next, we went to Kampung Kuantan. The reason we went to there was the girl suggested us to see the fireflies. We saw the fireflies by boat and the boat only limited for four people. So we separated into three groups with three people in each group. We were very excited as we have not seen it before. After that, we decided to went back hotel for bathing because the weather was too hot and we sweat a lot.

Before we went back hotel, the girl’s mother called her to inform that we can have a barbeque at her house that night. So, we went to buy some ingredients of barbeque at Tesco. Then, we went back with full of excitement to the girl’s house. We prepared all of the materials and ingredients before we had started our barbeque. Her father took a bottle of red wine to us and one of us felt excited as he is a wine lover. We divided into groups to do our own tasks such as cutting and cooking. We sat around chit-chatting while cooking. We shared our own feelings regarding this two days trip. Around 2 a.m., we started to clean up the materials and the area. We worked together as one so the cleaning jobs are done quickly.

                After the late night barbeque, all of us were dog tired. We had a warm bath and a nice sleep. Because of that, we woke up late and missed our routine. Therefore, my friends went to MacDonald to buy some food for us. We sat around the compound of my friend’s backyard enjoying our scrumptious fast food although it is fat and unhealthy. After that meal, we continue our journey to the waterfall. all of us could not be happier because the day that we were waiting for was finally here. I took around an hour to reach our destination. The place we went was called Taman Eko Rimba Kanching Templer Park Jungle Waterfall. That park was full of monkeys. Big and small. Those hungry devils which tried to snatch our food when we were eating. To be honest it was very cute as they try to get close to us and take our food. In the end, we end up giving them some of our foods including ice cream too.


                We started our journey to reach the top of the hill to witness the waterfall with our own eyes. It was tiring but we did not give up. It took around half an hour for us to reached the top of the hill because we took a lot of pictures on the way to the top. When we reached the top of the hill, we were stunned as our jaw drop till the ground. The waterfall was magnificent. we could not hold any longer as we jump into the freezing water. We splashed around each other. 


                 After the trip, we head back to our hostel. Then, I took up my laptop and started to write down this article as my memories were still fresh in my mind.

First Semester of My College Life with My Roommate I woke up in the morning with full of excitement as it was the day that I had waited for my whole life. It was the 30 th  of May 2017.
